[Q] 第一言語が日本語でも、日本語の議論に参加していいの？
もちろんです👍 日本語だけでも英語だけでも両方参加でもOKです！英語には興味ないけど日本語のイベントでゲストと話したいという理由で参加するのもアリです✨

[Q] トークって？ 内容はどんなの？
有料メンバーはいつでも好きなトピックについてトークを始めることができます。社会問題についてのゴリゴリの議論からマイノリティとしての日常の話までだいたい何でもOKです。ただし性差別、人種差別、自民族中心主義、健常者中心主義、同性愛嫌悪、トランス嫌悪、シス中心主義に反対の立場であることは必須です。
[Q] 知り合いにProgrezTribeのことを紹介したいのですが、どんな説明が適切でしょうか？
一例ですが、こんなのはいかがでしょう。
ジェンダー平等や反レイシズムなど、差別に反対する人たちが集まって交流したり議論したりするサーバー。日本語か英語のどちらかが話せれば参加できるし、英語や日本語を勉強中でペラペラじゃなくてもOK！
[Q] 社会問題のことで知らないことがたくさんあり発言するのが怖いのですが、参加しないほうがいいでしょうか？
「これまで無知でいられた」という特権には自覚的である必要はありますが、知らないことを教え合うことができ、素直に学ぶことができる場を作りたいと思っています。不安な場合、最初のうちはミュート参加（自分のマイクをOFFにして参加すること）で様子を見るのもいいかもしれません。
[Q] 全てのDiscord内で活動するのですか？
メンバー同士の交流など基本的には全てDiscordで行います。ゲストイベントはその限りではありませんので、外部ツールを使う場合は参加用URLをDiscordで配布します。また、数ヶ月に１回東京にて対面のイベントも行います（有料メンバーは参加費割引）。対面イベントにオンライン配信があるかどうかはその回によります。
[Q] Discordでの音声／映像のやりとりに字幕はつきますか？
Discordには字幕を表示する機能がなく、拡張機能的なもの（botと呼ばれます）も使用に耐えうるものが見つかりませんでした。ただ、Discordはブラウザ版で使うこともできます。PCからGoogle Chromeというブラウザで参加する場合は、Chromeの標準機能である自動文字起こしが日本語・英語どちらも自動判別でリアルタイム字幕を表示してくれます。完璧ではありませんので、もしおかしな表記があったら会話を止めて「どういうことですか」と尋ねて大丈夫です（口頭でも文字チャットでも）。
[Q] 無料ですか？
交流用チャンネルほとんどは無料メンバーも参加できます。音声／映像でのトーク及びオンラインイベント参加ができる有料プラン『Discussant』(600〜1800円/月)と、さらに英語学習者専用の有料プラン『Aspirant』(25米ドル/月)があります（Aspirantは7月の立ち上げを予定しています）。
[Q] なぜ無料だと制限があるのですか？ 価格は適正でしょうか？
リアルタイム音声／映像でのトークは突発的な問題が起きても対処できない場合があります。決済時にクレジットカード情報などを入れることがそういった問題の事前抑止につながれば、という狙いです。
活発な交流・議論の場となるよう、運営者ができるだけ多くの時間オンラインでいたいと思っていますし、頻繁にゲストイベントを開催したいとも思っています。しかしそれらを全て無償ボランティアとしてやるのはかなり厳しいです。
価格は経済的状況によって600円・1200円・1800円のどれかを選んでいただきます。一般的な英会話カフェや英会話サークルの参加は１回につき500円です。積極的にトークに参加することで、すぐに元が取れると思います。
[Q] トランスに関してはどのようなスタンスですか？
当サーバーはトランス当事者の権利、尊厳、そして何より生きている実態を尊重する立場です。 利用規約にもある通り、トランスフォビアに基づく発言は利用規約の禁止事項のひとつです。このような質問を独立して用意しないとトランス当事者が安心して参加できないだろうなと思えるほどにこの社会が現在トランスの人々にとって恐ろしいものであることを、非常に危惧しています。
[Q] 特定の企業、政治団体、政党などと関係がありますか？
ありません。瀬戸マサキが個人で運営しています。

[Q] Is it okay to participate in discussions held in one's first language?
Of course 👍 You can participate using only Japanese, only English, or both! It's perfectly fine to join even if your reason is "I'm not interested in learning English or Japanese, but I want to talk to the guests at the events” ✨
[Q] My Japanese/English is not very good...
It's okay to speak slowly, and it's okay if you stop mid-sentence. Please feel free to join without worrying about mistakes or speed, even if you're not fluent and feel a little shy ☺️
[Q] What are the talks about? What kind of topics?
Paid members can start talks on any topic they like at any time. The topics can be pretty much anything, from serious discussions about social issues to everyday stories as a minority. However, every participating member is supposed to be against sexism, racism, ethnocentrism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and ciscentrism.
[Q] I want to tell my friends about ProgrezTribe. How would you describe what it is?
Just an idea, but how about this?
ProgrezTribe is a politically progressive Discord community where we connect and discuss social issues with each other. You can join the server if you speak either Japanese or English. You don't need to be fluent!
[Q] I don't know much about social issues and I'm afraid to speak up. Should I not participate?
While it's important to be aware of the privilege of "having been able to remain ignorant until now,", we want to create a space where we can educate each other and learn from each other. If you're really worried, you can first start participating in talk sessions with your mic muted so you can test the waters.
[Q] Does all activity take place within Discord?
Basically, all interactions between members take place on Discord. Guest events are not limited to this, but when we use external tools, announcements are made on Discord. We also hold in-person events in Tokyo a few times a year (paid members get a discount on the participation fee). Whether online streaming is available for in-person events depends on the specific event.
[Q] Are there subtitles for voice/video calls on Discord?
Discord doesn't have a built-in feature to display subtitles, and I haven't found any usable extensions (called “bots”) that provide this functionality. However, you can use Discord in a browser, and if you join from a PC using the Google Chrome browser, Chrome's standard live caption feature can automatically transcribe both Japanese and English in real time. Keep in mind that it’s not perfect, though. If you see anything that looks like an error, feel free to interrupt and ask for clarification (either orally or in the text chat box).
[Q] Is it free?
Most of the interaction channels are open to free members. The "Discussant" (¥600-¥1800/month) plan allows you to participate in voice/video talks and online events.
[Q] Why are there restrictions for free members? Is the price reasonable?
Voice/video talks are in real-time and I may not always be present and able to handle unexpected issues. We hope that requiring credit card information etc. during payment will help prevent such problems.
To create a vibrant space for interaction and discussion, I, the administrator, want to be as online on the server as possible and hold many guest events. However, it is quite difficult to do all of this as unpaid volunteer work.
You can choose between 600JPY, 1200JPY, or 1800JPY depending on your financial situation. Participating in typical English conversation cafes or circles costs around 500JPY per session. By actively participating in talks at ProgrezTribe, you'll likely get your money's worth quickly.
[Q] What is the server’s stance on transgender issues?
Our server respects the rights, dignity, and, above all, the lived realities of transgender individuals. We are deeply concerned that this society is currently so frightening for transgender people that we felt it necessary to include a separate question like this to ensure transgender individuals feel safe to participate. Furthermore, as stated in Terms of Service, transphobic comments are prohibited.
[Q] Is ProgrezTribe affiliated with any specific companies, political organizations, or political parties?
No, it is not. ProgrezTribe is run independently by Masaki Seto.
