大変お待たせしました。
Discordコミュニティを一般公開致します！
現在高円寺ではProgrezTribeの立ち上げパーティーが行われており、そちらでDiscordへの参加案内をしている最中ですが、会場に来られなかった皆さんにも同時にDiscordサーバーへの参加方法をお伝えしようと、試しに予約投稿というのをやってみています。
うまく届いていればよいのですが…（不安）
改めて、ProgrezTribeとは
既にご存知の通り、ProgrezTribeは社会問題をやさしい英語／やさしい日本語という「シンプルな」言語で議論する政治的進歩派コミュニティです。反レイシズムやジェンダー平等などを支持する人で、日本語か英語のどちらかが少しでも使えれば（ペラペラじゃなくても）大歓迎です。
Discordでは、メンバー同士で「明日の夜9時からちょっとだけ〇〇についてお話ししませんか」みたいに誘い合って、英語や日本語で交流・議論することができます。社会運動に携わっている人をゲストとして呼んでのゲストイベントも開催されます。
日本語だけでも英語だけでも両方参加でもOKで、ゆっくり話してOK、途中で止まっちゃってもOKです。間違いや速度などは気にせず、ぜひ堂々と参加してください☺️
もっと言えば、「英語には興味ないけど日本語のイベントでゲストと話したい」という理由で参加するのもアリです✨
この他にも、メンバー同士が語学学習に役立つ情報を共有したり質問をしあったり、学習ログをシェアしあったり、テーマに沿って意見を（動画・音声・テキストなどで）発表しあったりする場もあります。

参加するには
ProgrezTribeには無料メンバーが交流できるチャンネルがたくさんあり、有料オプション無しでも他のメンバーと交流したり意見を交換することが可能です。
「無料のままだとできない」のは、リアルタイムの音声／映像による交流・議論およびゲストを交えてのオンラインイベント参加、そしてテキスト議論での新規トピック作成のみです。
有料オプション『Discussant』に入ったメンバーには「Discussant」（ディスカッサント＝議論する人）というロールが付与されます。ロールとはDiscord内の役職・称号のようなもので、このロールが付与されると、無料ではアクセスできなかったチャンネルにアクセスできるようになります。
7日間無料トライアル付き『Discussant』オプション
価格は３つ。そのすべてに7日間の無料トライアル期間があります。
実はどの価格も特典内容は同じ。何が違うのかと言うと…経済的状況に合わせて料金が選べます。
価格は毎月1200円、1800円、600円の３種類。
英会話カフェやサークルの参加料の相場は1回500円なので、月に2回でもトークセッションに参加すればプログレス・トライブの方がお得です✨
また、有料オプションを解約しても無料メンバーとして継続して Discord コミュニティに参加し続けることができます。
目安は「突然明日から収入が０になっても2ヶ月は衣食住に困らない」です。
目安は「突然明日から収入が０になっても6ヶ月は衣食住に困らない」です。
目安は「突然明日から収入が０になったら2ヶ月以内に衣食住に困る」です。
上記３つを選んでも7日間は無料なのですが、とにかく中身をまず見てみたいという人はこちらから無料メンバーとして参加することもできます。
経済状況が変わったりなどで価格の変更を希望する場合はご相談承ります。
7日間の無料トライアル期間中に有料オプションを解約しても Discord から除外されることはなく、無料メンバーとして継続してコミュニティに参加できます。
参加したらまずこれをやろう
Discordの中には「ようこそ／welcome」というチャンネルがあります。まずはこれを読んで、どんなことができるのか全体像をつかんでください。それぞれのチャンネルを覗いて見ると、さらに何ができるのかわかりやすいと思います。
次に「自己紹介／introduce-yourself」というチャンネルがあります。英語や日本語を勉強してる人は、その言語で自己紹介をしてみましょう。マイクアイコンで音声を録音して投稿することもできます。
また、「お知らせ／news」というチャンネルに行くと現在どんなことが予定されているかなどが見れます。
例えば現在は次のような項目が掲載されています。
5月14日(水)のトーク予定
20:30〜 英語トーク テーマは「Culture shock」
22:00〜 日本語トーク テーマは「好きなコンテンツをシェアしよう」
交流・議論チャンネルに追加されたトピック４つ
「Why do you study English?」
「Feminism and transphobia」
「なぜ日本語を勉強しているのですか？」
「オタク文化の中のクィア／フェミニストなシーン」
語学学習チャンネルの更新情報（おすすめYouTube動画をたくさん載せてます）

いよいよ始まったProgrezTribeのDiscord。7日間の無料トライアルもありますので、まずは参加して中の様子を見てみてください。
メンバーが増えるまではしばらくのんびりしたコミュニティになると思いますが、みなさんと一緒に書き込みやトーク参加で盛り上げていけたらと思います。

Our Discord server is now open to the public and here’s how to join it!
As this email hits your inbox, the ProgrezTribe kick-off party is taking place in Koenji, where I am giving instructions on how to join the server. For those who couldn’t make it, I scheduled this post.

What was ProgrezTribe again?
Well, it’s a politically progressive Discord server where communication and discussion about social issues are conducted in simple language, in either Japanese or English. Anyone who believes in progressive values such as anti-racism and gender equality and speaks at least a little bit of either English or Japanese, is very welcome to join us.
On the server, members can start an audio/video chat in either Japanese or English about any social topic at anytime. You can also make an announcement beforehand, like “hey let’s talk about xyz at 9PM tomorrow.” In addition to such member-led chats, there are guest events with activists, scholars, etc.
You can choose to join only English chats, only Japanese chats, or both. Your fluency isn’t important. You can speak slowly. It’s okay to stop mid-sentence. Don’t worry about making mistakes or talking too slowly! Just be brave☺️
Maybe you’re not interested in Japanese at all but want to join English guest events. That’s fine, too✨
Other channels include language study channels (sharing resources and asking questions), a study logs channel, and text/audio discussion forums with topic prompts.
By the way, I’ve made an FAQ page. If you have any question, you might find the page useful.
And how exactly can I join it?
Here at ProgrezTribe we have many channels that you can access as a free member. You don't need to be a paying member to interact and share opinions with other members.
However, as a free member there’s one thing you cannot do, and that is to join real-time audio/video chats & online guest events and to create a new thread in text discussion forums.
When you sign up to become a paid member, you'll automatically be assigned the Discussant role, which gives you access to audio/video chat channels.
Pricing (7-day free trial)
The pricing is on a sliding scale, from 600JPY to 1800JPY. You can choose the right price depending on your economic situation. All prices come with a 7-day free trial.
When you cancel your paid membership, you will continue to be part of the community as a free member.
Now, before you make your choice, imagine your income stops tomorrow. How long do you think you can last (basic needs like rent, utilities, and food)?

The three prices above are all free for 7 days, but if you want to just look inside and see if it’s for you, you can tap this button to start as a free member.
Contact me if there are changes in your financial circumstances that require a price adjustment.
During the 7-day free trial, even if you cancel your paid membership, you will not be removed from Discord and can continue to participate in the community as a free member.
What should I do first once I’m in?
Open the “ようこそ／welcome” channel to get a glimpse of what each channel is for. It’ll help to take a little peek into each channel to see for yourself.
Then, go to the “自己紹介／introduce-yourself” channel and introduce yourself in your target language by recording your voice using the microphone icon (visible only on mobile devices). If making an audio post feels too intimidating, you can make a written post instead.
Now, go to the “お知らせ／news” channel to see what’s going on on the server right now.
For example, as of today we have the following information in the channel.

Well, let’s just celebrate the launch of our new community by hanging out on the server, checking out different channels and saying hi to each other. The 7-day free trial will be enough time for you to see what you can do there and how you can interact with other members.
It will be a quiet community for a while as it is new but I really hope that with you, we can grow a lively, vibrant community of progressives.
